If you're not incorporating these three MAJOR components in your pursuit for optimal health you're likely NEVER going to hit your goals. You'll get close... and for a while, things will be great. But after a short while, the push and fight will yield fewer and fewer results. Until you get hurt... or give up.
But it doesn't have to be that way!!

Too many times we see clients clinging on to a past that they're still desperately trying to live up to. What's difficult for us as fitness professionals, is to illustrate how the path ahead is brighter than the path behind. If any of these sounds like something you would say then the message today is definitely for YOU.
"I used to be a college athlete" - "I used to be a high school athlete" - "I used to be fit before I had kids" - "I used to bench XXX pounds" - " I can't ____ because I've always been heavy"
There is still relevance and application if you are holding onto the past for anything (not just a fitness status) and are unable to see your true potential.

Consistency is the hallmark of any successful transformation. The problem is, in our microwave society, consistency has a life-span of 2-3 months. After that, it's common to see most "dieters" enter a period of priority-reversal. Priorities shift. Discipline is out the window. And many end up where they started (or worse).
To be different you must train different, think different, behave different. Doing the boring uncommonly well.

Ever have one of those days ... everything starts our great. You have a great attitude. The weather is perfect. The commute to work is easy. Then, out of nowhere emotional assailant dumps, drops, and pours their negativity all over you. Before you know it, you're now in a mood. Your productivity takes a hit. You experience increased sensitivity to what others are doing and saying (everyone is annoying you) and before you know it - BLEH.
What happened??
You can't avoid people. But you can plan and anticipate how to navigate the poop-heads and keep your positivity and attitude peaked.
